Home Colon Cleanse
Secrets of Colon Cleansing You Can Use At
Home For Less Money Required to Buy a Pizza
Doing an
at home colon cleanse is not as difficult as you may
think. Can you do good, viable colon cleansing without spending a
lot of money and perhaps buying a colon cleanser product?
Yes and no. I'm not trying to be give a politician-like,
sleight-of-mouth answer. Let me explain. I say "yes" as the older
you are (over 30) the more fecal matter and perhaps parasite build
up you have, which requires a good colon cleaning supplement
agent.
In that case, while you should change your diet to 70% all
vegetables, fruits and grains, the encrusting that has happened in
your bowels will require more than the fiber from vegetables and
fruits.
Plus, the older you are, the more toxins buildup you have as
well, generally speaking. I say "no" in answer to my question
regarding to the necessity of buying a colon cleaning product if
you're 29 or younger. A fiber-rich diet and my secret colon
cleanser drink should be enough for your home colon
cleanse.
If you're over 30, I do recommend buying a good colon cleansing
product. It will help faciliate and expedite the process.
Still, it certainly will not harm you if you do use a good
colon cleaner supplement product. As I wrote in the article, "How
To Cleanse Your Colon", which you can find on the navigation bar to
your left, this is the home colon cleanse preferred process:
- Eat only high-fiber foods like grains, vegetables and
fruits
- Change your diet: eliminate non-fiber foods like meat and
processed foods
- Buy and use a certified colon cleansing product
- Utilize safe medicinal herbs to facilitate your colon
cleanse
- Exercise
This simple, straightforward five-step process is inexpensive.
It is especially inexpensive if you do just numbers one, two and
four. Are there any other options you could utilize to
facilitate your colon cleansing? Yes, a high colonic can help as
can periodic enemas.
While those options are helpful, they are not striking at the
root of the problem. Colon cleansing, liver and kidney and parasite
cleansing is usually a necessity due to a diet high in processed
foods, processed meats, low-fiber foods and minimal-fiber
foods.
I have a very close friend whose diet is only about 5 to 10%
"roughage" as he calls it. The rest is fast food and the
traditional American diet. His health is hurting but he's quite
content to keep doing what he's doing. He has a protruding stomach,
(a classic sign of a compacted colon), is 30 to 40 pounds
overweight, is prematurely graying, has declining energy, has had
hemorrhoid problems and has high cholesterol.
I asked him recently if he has ever sat down for dinner and
eaten just a large bowl of vegetables. He looked at me as if I had
asked him if I could borrow a billion dollars. "Are you kidding?
NO!" He's a great guy and sadly is slowly killing himself with the
western diet and his indifference toward healthy eating.
His situation is not unique. Perhaps you can relate.
How Do I Get Started With My Home Colon
Cleansing?
Answer: start number one and two. It will be difficult, even
challenging but it will work. Your diet should be 70 to 80% filled
with raw fruits, vegetables and grains if you can. If you have to
steam your vegetables to ward off the dreaded cooked-food
addiction, that will be fine.
Next step: Start taking daily the two secret home colon cleanse
herbs. The herbs are: slippery elm bark and psyllium seed or husks.
Here's how you make the drink:
- Mix one heaping tablespoon of psyllium seed or psyllium
husks (same thing) with one heaping tablespoon of slippery elm bark
together
- Pour in enough juice or water (juice makes the drink more
"drinkable") to cover the powdered herbs
- Stir until it's so thick, the spoon could literally stand
upright. This happens as the psyllium and slippery elm absorb
water. It will do the same thing in your colon; it will absorb much
more fecal matter than its own natural weight
- Pour more juice into the eight-ounce glass so it's half full.
Cut some of the bigger chunks with your spoon. Stir
- After it thickens more, fill the glass up to the top. Stir,
then drink
Disclaimer:
the drink is bland to the taste but what makes it hard to drink is
the chunkiness. It also doesn't look pleasant. It's not like
drinking a chocolate milkshake, to be sure. If you do it right, it
will give you a big movement in about 24 hours. The chunkier the
better but the chunkier, the worse it is to drink, to be
honest.

When drinking, feel free to chew the chunks. Swallow some
unchewed if you can. This drink works. I've been using it for
years, but it's not wonderful to imbibe. (The picture on the left
is psyllium seed powder and to the immediate right slippery elm
bark powder.)
This combination works really well as psyllium is the sweeping
agent in the intestinal tract and slippery elm powder is the
soothing herb. Together, they go together like peas and carrots or
like Dean and Jerry!
Final Word
If you follow the steps on this page, I guarantee you will make
significant progress in your colon cleansing program. The real key
is to change your diet. The more fiber, the better. You don't have
to go on this diet forever. Obviously, if you did, it would be
ideal but in purely practical terms, most people can't do it.
Doing a focused colon cleanse should happen at least once a year
for everyone. A lifestyle of eating vegetables, fruit and grains
should be the norm but again, most can't do it as they think it's
too limiting.
Let's be honest, eating right is hard. (That may be why a
home colon cleanse is so vital.) Things that taste bad are
usually good for you and things that taste great are not. The key
is consistency in how you eat. Clarence Bass, the lawyer and
bodybuilding expert, has a diet very high in fiber but he also will
occasionally eat whatever he wants.
He says he has an aunt who loved him as he ate everything she
put before him and bear in mind Bass is in many people's minds a
true health nut and even an extreme one. In 1977, at the age of 41,
he got his bodyfat down to 2.4% -- essentially 0% fat to the body
as the body needs some fat to function.
He chronicles his experience in the book Ripped, which
is great reading for bodybuilder as well as fitness enthusiasts. He
gives the exact diet he used to reach 2.4% in 1977 but in 1978 as
well. That diet was rich in fiber as he ate grains in the morning
and a huge vegetable salad at night.
His diet is almost perfect for athletes and would be healthy to
follow on a home colon cleanse. It's high in fiber, moderate in
protein, severely limits meat and if it is used, it's used in very
small amounts as a flavoring agent only, and he uses ample
amounts of animal protein, i.e., eggs, milk and yogurt. His diet in
1977-1979 didn't have any meat in it and yet he won the Over-40 Mr.
America and Mr. USA.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. Thanks for
